If you’re a direct relative* of an ICE member, you may also qualify for financial support, even in the sad event that the member is no longer around. Making ends meet, especially if your circumstances change dramatically through ill health or bereavement can be a constant balancing act. We’re here to help you through. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please get in touch.

One-off payments

You may need a one-off grant to get you through a particularly challenging time or to purchase a specific piece of equipment or item that would make your life easier. Examples include disability aids and access to increased mobility, help with necessary home improvements and property maintenance.

Ongoing support

We also offer monthly grants for up to six months, sometimes more if circumstances are longer term and more challenging. Examples include supporting members with long term illness, through periods of unemployment or facing a temporary setback.

Norma - widow of Member

Norma's husband, John, tragically died after suffering from a brain tumour. Deeply traumatised, Norma struggled to get on with life and soon found it hard to make ends meet. We were able to help by providing housing and financial support.
